A Primer on Carbon-Negative AI Data Centers

The convergence of artificial intelligence and clean energy is reshaping how the world builds and powers digital infrastructure. As demand for compute capacity accelerates, so does the need for scalable and sustainable power solutions.

This course catalog is designed as a work-in-progress, developed in parallel with our journey through Project 1, the Buena Vista Biomass Power (BVBP) conversion. It begins with foundational “101” courses that introduce the essential technologies, incentives and financial tools shaping the next generation of carbon-negative data centers.

Over time, we plan to expand this catalog with more advanced “201” and “301” level courses that dive deeper into project finance, carbon accounting and operational best practices, as we continue learning, building and refining alongside our partners.
